I. JESUS, THE SON OF GOD IS OUR GOOD SHEPHERD.

*          Jesus will lead us, but it is up to us to “want” to follow Him.

II. THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD...Our Roadmap To Heaven.

* It is Inspired “God – Breathed”

II. SIN IS SOMETHING THAT STANDS BETWEEN US AND GOD.

* Sin is: “Not doing the right thing”

* All have sinned

* Sin separates us from God

III. WHY DID JESUS HAVE TO DIE?

* God’s love

* For our sins

* To save us

* We can’t be good enough

IV. SALVATION IS GOD’S GIFT TO US.

* We must believe in Jesus as our Savior
John 14:6; Hebrews 11:6

* We must repent of our sins
Acts 17:30

* We must acknowledge or confess Jesus as Lord
1 Timothy 6:12-13; Mark 15:2

* We must be baptized

Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38

* We must walk in the Light
1 John 1:7; Ephesians 5:7-10

V. BAPTISM IS BEING BURIED WITH JESUS TO HAVE OUR SINS FORGIVEN.

* Baptism is a burial in water

John 3:23; Romans 6:3-4

* Baptism is our Faith in the working of God

Colossians 2:12

* Baptism is the point where God forgives us of our sins

Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; 1 Peter 3:20-21

VI. Question: “What must I do to be saved?” is asked three times in Acts.

            1.    What shall we do?
            Repent and Baptized
            Acts 2:37-38

            2.    What must I do to be saved?
            Believe in the Lord Jesus
            “Immediately" they were baptized
            Acts 16:30-33

            3.   What shall I do?
            “Why do you delay? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins calling [trusting] on the name of the Lord.”
            Acts 22:10, 16

VII. COUNTING THE COST OF BEING A CHRISTIAN.

We are forgiven of our sins by the blood of Jesus Christ as He died on the cross.

This blood is applied to us when we, by faith, die with Christ in baptism.
